More coming soon

As soon as I can I'll post pictures from Carter's birthday (which was yesterday). He's a four year old now. He has really grown up a lot lately. He is seriously such a fun kid--he just puts a smile on our face. He had a great birthday. The night before his birthday he had friends over for a little party. They had a blast with the Sponge Bob pinata and then we had cake and ice cream. It was super simple, but he had a blast. Usually Carter doesn't seem to care either way about being in the spotlight. But, for his birthday he seemed happy to get the attention. We were glad he felt so special. On his actual birthday, he got to go out for breakfast with daddy. They chose to go to McDonald's for breakfast. Carter was thrilled to learn the McDonald's has pancakes! Then, my parents came over in the evening with their presents for Carter.

Pictures will be coming soon.

Bug Boots

Tanner loves his bug boots (rain boots with bugs on them). He seems so happy to be able to be outside more lately. He has shown an interest in learning to ride the little bike. He could play in the sandbox for hours at a time. It always ends up in his hair and currently there's a ton that ended up in my Pilot. It's time for a good vacuum job I guess. I can't wait to get our fence in so that he can play outside a little more.

Great Grandma

My Grandma got to meet Coleman yesterday. I was glad to get to see my grandma. She's such a funny lady. She's almost 84 and she's doing great. It was her husband, my grandpa, that Coleman got his middle name 'Curtis' from.

Chubby Baby Coleman

I weighed Coleman today using a very inaccurate method I'm sure. I weighed myself with and without him. According to this, he weighs around 13 lbs. He is getting to be a real chub. He'll be eight weeks on Sunday! He was blessed this past Sunday, I'll post pictures later--they're on our other camera which Jeff has with him at the moment. Anyways, his blessing was wonderful and we had a nice time with family and friends at our place afterwards for lunch. Coleman is doing really well now. He had a pretty fussy period there for a while but thanks to Malox and a prescription for reflux, he is now doing much better.

Yesterday he fell asleep on Braeden's bed while I was helping Braeden get ready for soccer. Braeden was happy to let Coleman snooze on his bed--he even tucked him in with ThomasBear!

Coleman got kicked out of our room a few weeks ago. We had a hard time sleeping with him in there-he's a very noisy sleeper at times. So, we got the crib set up in his room and Tanner's in a big boy bed for good now. I was excited to get the crib set up in Coleman's room so I could decorate his room and make it a nice little place for him. I'll post pictures soon!

Yard Stuff

We've got a start on our yard. We're hoping that things will be ready so we can lay sod in a few weeks. We had some concrete work done to expand our patio, make a side walk from the patio to the driveway, and added r.v. parking. The boys were so excited to watch the concrete truck. Tanner is obsessed with tractors lately, so he's been in heaven watching them work on our yard (and the new house being built up the road). He'll stare out the window for long periods at a time. Our yard is a muddy mess and I can't wait to have it done! The boys don't mind one bit. We got them all rain boots that are easy to rinse off. They love to play on the big dirt pile. They even made a slide going down in. Ugh--super messy. I actually feel pretty proud of myself for being pretty relaxed and letting them be boys--even if it means getting super dirty. That's what Tide is for anyways. We tried to write our names in the concrete. It didn't turn out as I had envisioned, but we made our mark nonetheless. The weather here has been insane lately. It snowed a bit today and we've had a ton of rain off and on the last few weeks. This has put a real damper on the progress of our yard. Hopefully it will clear up soon.

Our little one month old

It's hard to believe this little guy is already a whole month old!

He's just such a little sweetie pie.

And, he's growing like crazy. At his two week check up, he was over a pound up from his birthweight. I suspect he's gained another pound in the past 2 weeks. Before we know it, he'll hit double digits. He's a good eater.

He likes, no LOVES, to be held and gets a little mad at times when we can't hold him.

He likes his swing allright. He'd better like it because we bought it just for him. Our old swing was dead after three kids.

Sometimes he sleeps really good at night, and other times (like last night) he doesn't sleep so good. Overall, he does pretty good though. I can't complain too much.

He kinda likes a binkie.

He loves being wrapped up in a blanket.

He just smiled at me and made my day.

We got to show him off at daddy's work today. We don't get out much now days, so it felt like a lot of work to get everyone ready and out the door. I used to go meet Jeff for lunch a lot more than I do now. I can't remember the last time we did lunch with dad so it was fun!

I took this picture yesterday. I love those chubby cheeks. Yes, they do get kissed a lot. They're irresistable.
