Happy Turkey Day!

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for--especially all our friends and family. I just asked Braeden what he is thankful for and he said "candy"! Have a great holiday!

Rivalry

The big game is today. One of our neighbors brought us this as a "thank you" for the blue sugar cookies we gave them. Go Cougs!

My mind is spinning...

I can't believe it's finally here--Election Day '08. Even though the polls are all suggesting that Obama's in, I still think there's a chance for McCain. We'll see what happens. It'll be a late night here I think.

Also, I had a sad, emotional weekend. I was released from my calling in the YW presidency. I was pretty sad to leave the girls. I really loved working with them and the other leaders. It's been Girl's Night Out every Weds. for the past two years. I really have a strong testimony of the Young Women's program. It had an impact on my life when I was a young woman. So, I know how much it can help these girls. But, change happens and it will all be allright. Now, I'm nervously awaiting what's next. I have a lot of people tell me that "boy moms" like me are destined to be in the Cub Scouts. We'll see! I'll keep you posted.

Excess!

No kid needs this much candy. Even if we do spread it out over the next month. They got a ton. So, I had what I think was a great idea if I do say so myself. I took a big ziplock bag and filled it with candy to save for their Christmas stockings. Now I can save $ on Christmas candy. My kids will never know. Anyways, just thought I'd share my idea. These kids do look pretty happy with their stash though. I love Halloween and kids. We had a fun family night. What a great holiday.

a very Happy Halloween

We had fun trick-or-treating! It's so fun to see the boys having such a good time. Braeden made a point to wear his "running shoes" so he could go really fast from house to house. They got plenty of candy and had a blast. I still have to take individual pictures of each of them. The day just flew by yesterday and before I knew it it was time to go. We had Navajo tacos for dinner--yum! I love good food traditions. I hope you all had a fun safe Halloween. I'll post their individual pictures later.
